Vintage Colorful Geometric Tile from Mexico
This bright and colorful tile has a geometric design with Moorish influences. Made in the cuerda seca, or dry line process, the black lines separate the glazes. The corners have accents of bright uranium red glaze. It measures 6" square and about 3/8" thick. The dust pressed tile is unmarked but probably made by Lamosa. The back had been covered in felt that had been removed, leaving a line of glue around the perimeter of the back. It is in very good condition with no surface wear and a little wear around the edges.
